I bought the microsoft streets and maps 2007 issue.it came with a usb gps puck thats WAAS.bought it off ebay for 30 bux.i just loaded up the software to get the puter to reconize the gps.i have a mini atx pentium 4 3ghz running a 17 inch LCD Global Display Solutions daylight viewable touch screen running win 2000 with the FREE seaclear chart plotting software useing the digital NOAA charts.the mini atx is running off a 12 volt power supply.1 300 gig HD.i have 2 gigs of ram in it and 2 pci slots.1 for the touch screen and the other is a 4 port 60 fps video capture card for 2 topside cameras and 2 underwater cams.

Have you been reading about Humminbird's new sidescan sonar? Pretty neat, and not overpriced.

A chartplotter mounted in the boat is handy for returning to a point, particularly with the enhanced graphics of a specialized marine chart. They are all WAAS enabled now. Color is nice, but greyscreen works good too.
