Best time of year for CRHing?

Ive read several posts on this forum and some others that state the best time of the year to do CRH is from December to March.

Ive seen this referenced several times so I don't think it is just one persons opinion.

In your experience is this true?

If it is true do you care to postulate on why this is so?

in my experience this is like gambling, it is all luck of the draw

i have had luck at all different times of the year. however finds seem to pick up when times get tough.

All I know is June and July was terrible for us in 09 don't think we got 200 in 2 months.

If you search boxes it doesn't matter - just the luck of the draw. I had an incredible December now January is pretty slow for boxes. For customer rolls, there is the holiday shopping theory. If this is true everyone might as well take a couple months off and let all the banks get restocked with silver.
