Big Bear MD pointers?

Anyone have any suggestions for a nugget shooting area near Big bear? Seen a few videos and pics from Rattle Snake Canyon(still not sure where the canyon is at, somewhere off of 2n02). Doesnt sounds like people find much else besides fine gold in the holcomb valley/gold hill area? just looking for a little direction =) Thanks

The high desert north and east of there is much better, lots of mining districts and way more gold. Get yourself a California State Mining District map or just go on line. Good luck....Rob

Cool thanks for the Info. Im aware of the better gold in the desert. Im just going to be snowboarding at Bear mtn this weekend and would like to spend one day swinging the MD while im up there.
