BIG CAPPED SILVER! I'm still in dis-belief

Here are my finds from 9-30-2015. Sorry for the time delay but I work 12 hour days and swing when I'm not working. This was the second day at this new site and it was a day of finds we dream about! It started with a King, Carolus IIII to be exact (1797), then another flying eagle (1858). This is my 3rd Eagle and Spanish Silver. Along the way I managed a couple of Indians. At this point I was having a Stellar day, and little did I know the BEST was yet to come. I got a great 11/45-46 shallow signal and thinking it might be something "special" I popped out my phone and recorded finding my First ever Seated Quarter! It wasn't long and I got a weird 17-18/41-42 high for ferrous numbers eventually it fell to 15/41-42 and again I filmed my First Field 2 Cent find. By now I was on cloud nine with Spanish Silver, My first Seated Quarter, another Flying Eagle, Indians and a 2 center and still the "Mac Daddy" was yet to come!

I got another killer 11/45-46 that dropped to an 8-9/41,42 on the 90 and I was baffled, I know Spanish Silver is not 90% and the numbers vary from what I am used to seeing so I thought it might be yet another Spanish Silver or Brass ie; Farm Junk. When I turned over the plug I about fell over, because I knew I had just Dug my First Field, Big Silver! It took until I got home and rinsed it off to grasp the magnitude of what I had just found, My First Capped Bust Coin Ever and Big Silver Capped at that!! Besides the tarnished blacken gunk on it, it has Stunning Crisp Detail! This is now my Oldest American Silver. 9/30/2015 What a day, I hope everyone can experience a day like I did. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the great description/E-Trac play by play. There is no WAY you're focusing on work for the next week...you'll be in that field in your head no matter where else your body has to show up. : )

Been back three time since then, 1 LC, 4 Indians and another first yesterday, 1844 Seated half dime!!! It's my first! Will get pictures up soon!

Reminds me of that trip I had a while back the big silvers! It's a great feeling congrats on the amazing finds

It took you a while to get those super finds posted,it would me too ,because they would have had to find me and bring me back to earth.

Thanks George, I really appreciate that coming from a master like yourself! You just never know when one will pop out of the plug! In fact you never know when you will see it happen on consecutive days. I took my friend Bell-two and his wife back the next day and he found an 1825 Capped Bust Half. He has great videos of his hunts posted on youtube, #176 I believe is the one with his capped bust find!

Wow. Any of those would make my day, but I can't even imagine finding ALL of those!

Yea it took me 3-4 days to settle down, all the while going out and swinging every minute I'm not working or required to paint the stairwell walls and upstairs hallway! Momma has been very accommodating, but I still have some chores to tend to as I'm sure we all do! lol

Is there any reason this shouldn't qualify for Banner ? I'm all in - absolutely amazing site ! What do you know about the history
of this site - Tavern , Mercantile , it's safe to assume that some kind of commerce was transacted around there with all that coin !

Super finds ! :occasion14:

That's sheer insanity! What a mind boggling day of hunting you had!

I need to do more in depth research. I wondered the same thing. All I know is that it appears on an atlas from 1875 as a homestead. If it was only a private homestead, those folks must of been well to do.

That's the site we all dream of!!!!
Doesn't get much better than that!!

Banner all the way!

BANNER finds in my book. nice work on the Reale, and Seated, but that Bust Half is the bee's knees! way to go!
