Had my first hunt out at my honey hole last week where I have detected MANY MANY times over the years. I only had an hour because I have a new baby that takes all my dirt fishing time, but I was super pleased with what Gary's Hot program got me in that amount of time.

6 colonial flat buttons, a thimble, small pocket knife and a glorious Large Cent (how did I miss this one?) all the buttons were "winkled out" between the heavy iron beautifully, and the coin was clear as day in tone. I am thinking maybe the frost pushed it up this year or this program rocks. Either way, I am super happy with what this program produced in 50 or so minutes.

My son and I have moved onto the HOT program the last month or so. I must concur with ya. We have been finding so much stuff walking back over some of our sites we thought were "hunted out". Go slow and listen! It has been great!!!.

Congrats on the great looking copper!!!!:icon_thumleft:

Nice catch on the LC with the new program.
Question where would one find out more about this "HOT" program?

Hey Jon make sure you save a few largies for me. That is in good shape! Seems every copper I have found in the last few weeks is toasted

i was surprised at the detail. It's my first large copper in a few years so hopefully the streak is over. Now i just have to wait 18 years so i can start detecting again!

I'm sure glad that's not a skill testing question :dontknow: All I know is the machine is a WS5 with a 11" coil.

Your new cute little boy will be swinging with you before long. I have found four Connecticut coppers since last season, but can't make out the three other coppers I have found lately. I did find a 1797 draped bust last time out last season.

Do you lose any depth with that program? Other machines with similar programs lose a lot of depth.

Nice finds! I haven't got around to putting V4.0 on my Deus yet. Looks like I better get-er-done!

You can update the software on the remote by hooking it up to a computer and going to the Deus website
