Took the E-trac for a walk through the field again today. Who can blame me though? It was 66 degrees and sunny...No clouds at all. There was a slight breeze which made it very comfy being outside walking the detector in a short sleeve shirt. Hunted today for about 2.5 hours. Had pretty meager success most of the hunt. Managed 3 wheaties and a flat button and figured that was as good as it got today. Not bad. But as I was walking back to the car I stumbled onto a nice little signal. The E-trac screamed at me with a 12-43. Nice and steady, solid as a rock, locked right in. Thought it was going to be a penny, but when I flipped the plug over and got it out of the hole I was surprised to see a foreign coin looking back at me. And it was big!!! I could see that it was silver and when I wiped the dirt away I could see "Two Shillings" and a date of 1939. I gave a little fist pump in celebration and then booked it to the car. I knew I better get home or else the wife wasn't going to let me go back out looking for it's relatives tomorrow!
Happy Hunting everyone!
