Picked up a used equinox 600. Hadn't got much time in the dirt with it but got an invite from a friend on Sunday to hunt a local site. Found some clad throughout the yard then came across an iffey high low tone. Decided to dig, popped the plug and found a piece of iron and hot rock in the hole. Before closing up I checked the plug and to my surprise this beauty was hiding. My first Franklin a little over a year into the hunt and I love it. Thanks for looking...

Funny to think that carrying around 50 cent coins was so common at one time. I don't think I have had one in my pocket since I was a kid in the late 1970's.

Thanks to all for the comments! I was so excited to find it and it is in pretty good shape. And with every new find I love the research involved to know all about it's origin and ending.

I used to think the Franklin Half was the ugliest of them all when I was a kid, but I'd be happy to find one now. Nice Big Silver find! :icon_thumright:
