Made yet another stop at my spot on the way to work and only got one nice find. I always wanted a silver thimble and today was the day. Its around early 1900's and I put a bit of info on the maker in a picture below. It's a bit beat up but I'll take it. Thanks for looking! Thanks. I am loving the new f75 but haven't got to use it much yet. On my work trips things can get rough so I only take my old back up machine. The old one has treated me real nice so far this season though! [emoji106]

Just noticed the perfect pin hole in it. I wonder if someone got a pin stab and chucked it away out of anger! Haha

Awesome find... The one i found has a pin hole in it too! Adds character and can make a good story too!

Still on my wishlist - found plenty of base metal ones - congrats!

congrats! I knocked my bucket-list Sterling thimble off a couple years ago. Have you determined what year that "Z" is yet?

Beautiful thimble. Too bad about it being mashed up - maybe there is a silversmith out there who could restore it?

Still haven't figured out the "Z" but I believe it's to do with the year it is a date mark! [emoji106]

I would love to see a sterling thimble come out of the ground. High on mine and Im sure many others bucket lists. Awesome find:thumbsup:

I've seen a lot of thimbles, but never noticed any makers marks or other detailing on any. Now I've got to go dig out the ones I have and take a look! That's pretty neat.

Excellent find! Congratualtions. :occasion14:

Sweet find!! I find plenty of thimbles, just can't find a silver one and a silver one is high on my wish list.
Congrats!!

That is a cool find K.
I've only managed a piece (about 1/3rd) of one so far, so I'd be pretty happy with that one.
Good job.

PS. are you ever going to get a day off ?

Only 9 more days until this lobster season ends that I go too pick up! [emoji106]

Congratulations on the thimble. That has long been a wishlist find for me. Hopefully it can be restored! Otherwise, it's still a great find.
