My wife & I attended our third 'Bigfoot Festival', it is held in a little remote community called 'Honobia' OK, located deep in the 'Ouachita forest'.
We set up our tent & tables, & sold our rocks & minerals, &
hiking, & walking sticks.
We saw several friends from previous years, & had a great time.
There was singing, storytelling, film crews interviewing folks,
wagon rides , water slide, food, craft vendors of all kinds.
pics are loading the truck, bigfoot crossing sign, wagon rides,
main drag, my booth.

Fossis,

That looks like it might be a really fun Festival to go to! I'm sure the story telling is all about "sightings" ::)

Hope you did well at your booth and thanks so much for sharing a bit of "Americana" ;D

Great Post Fossis,

I mentioned before that I lived in that area years ago. Funny how you can remember things like that. I was only 5 years old last time I was through there. Seems like the locals pronounced it "Honubby" :)

Excellent post Fossis. I really enjoyed it. Got a kick out of the way the truck was loaded. The tent you use to have your items in are really nice. I use to run around and do art in the park events years ago,and I sure could have used one of those. I use to burn up when set up in a sunny area. Thanks for sharing your event and I will keep my eyes open for those Big Foot crossings, wouldn't want to hit one of those big guys.lol

Well.....any sightings?

You should have had that Bigfoot from the beef jerky commercials come in and do a guest appearance.

Those are some darn funny commercials.

Good post & pics. Looks like a festival I would enjoy. Most around here are too commercialized & not worth attending. I missed my favorite, the Amish festival, about an hour & 15 min. away in
Springs, Pa. Ended yesterday.

Yeah Wes, it was a lot of fun, lots of 'serious' folks tell their stories, there are film crews all over the place, I over-
heard a few telling their stories.
We didn't do as well as before, but they eliminated one day this year.

Thanks Carolina, I had a sign on the log that said,'Bigfoot Beaters', it got a lot of laughs.
Didn't do as well as before, but had a good time.

Thanks Van, Last year we got sunburned the first day, then broke out the 'sunblock.
This year we borrowed 'Scotto's' tent, I met him last year at # 2,
he gave me the computer & got me started on Treasure-Net, aren't friends 'Wonderful'?
Yes, everyone please 'BE ON THE LOOKOUT', & don't hit one. :'( :'(

Thanks, it was located in a large, shady, campground,
people show up from all over, bring their campers, & tents, & have a nice, relaxing, weekend.
I just hope this one doesn't get 'too big'.

Thanks Carolina, Last year I had two 'hollow logs',
(I don't cut trees that are used as a den), this one was fallen already, nearly all the 'old hollow' trees are gone, so I always build birdhouses on my place to replace them.
I sold all but two of my 'walking canes', & several 'hikers'.

Nope, just let folks 'trample' it, but did water the road a few times. >:(
Heres a pic of a 'Buddy' telling his story at the conference room.

What? Big Foot? Seems I missed him somewhere. Noodle, Dan & I took a detour through the Ouachita on the way home from the CTH.. Spent the night (Sunday) at Broken Bow. Was probably right in your territory...wish I knew your exact location we could had visited with you. Looks like you had a grand time...great pics, and as always nice looking wood work.

;) RR
