Billy Preston, another great artist that was taken away too soon. Although a great artist in his own right, I always appreciated him more when he worked with George Harrison.










Least we forget Billy also played on this rooftop recording, but was not filmed Anyway, "Get Back", is the only Beatles song credited to "The Beatles with Billy Preston," Yup Billy was almost the 5th Beatle

Billy was from Houston, as am I
I remember seeing him play at an outside show in a field across the street from the Astrodome.
Must have been 1973-1975 he was very entertaining. I believe Johnny Winter and a couple of other acts were there.
I still have a scar on my left hand from barb on the top of the Astrodome's fence.
I do not remember for sure why I climbed it.
During that era in Houston I saw every major touring act that came through town.

Nothing like the concerts from that era, several great acts, low ticket cost. But then again, it seems you found a painful way to avoid that ticket cost
