Way more than I can afford in the current situation.
Their food comes before my own.
Six cats indoors and four or eight more outdoor abandoned kitties.
I was left with one by my youngest daughter maybe six years ago now. He's really warmed up to me quite a bit over that time, so I guess you can say he's mine now, because my wife is not a cat person at all and at time he likes to harass her and creep her out, as she hollers at me to come get him when he just goes to stare at her. He's been apart of the household for around 13 years now. He just goes about his business around here and pretty much has got it made. Goes to the vet when needed, has special expensive food so he doesn't get urinary infection anymore, as that cost a lot more to remedy. He spends most days outside and comes in around 9 o'clock at night. Cat's got a better life then me I could say.
Now 3 y.o., Sneakers was adopted from a rescue organization after her kittens were weaned and adopted. This former homeless outdoor cat is very happy to be an indoor cat now.
Nokta FoRs Gold, a Gold Cube, 2 Keene Sluices and Lord only knows how many pans....not to mention a load of other gear my wife still doesn't know about!
Wish I could, as well. Been feeding a huge tomcat for awhile now;
he actually lives down the street at a place full of meth users. They
don't feed him at all apparently, as he's about half the weight he
should be.
Got a huge head, and a few extra toes..
Here's your black and white kitty in black and white..
This is our big guy Murray. He usually stays outside but when storms come he'll scoot in fast! 1 of our 3 cats. I'll never be able to retire from having to feed them!
My neighborhood is full of tomcats too.
This is who I very affectionately named Weird Eye..
Too many males and each wants to be the Patriarch.
I love how he stands on his hind legs so I can scratch his head.
Here is another B&W - this one a homeless cat that I feed every day. I've knocked on doors, posted pics on several sites, and people remember neighbors with outdoor cats who moved and left the cats behind. I also fed his B&W brother or father for a year. That one came to his dish limping two months ago, so I approached even though he always ran from me. He walked right up to me and showed me his injured leg, rubbed my leg and hand and allowed me to pet him. I have never had an animal come to me to show me an injury like this. He was asking for help. He let me put him in a carrier and went quietly to a new no-kill shelter where he received medical care and is up for adoption. I hope this time he goes to a good home that will not abandon him. The one in the pic will also go to the shelter once I have developed his trust. BC - take a look at his left eye - this one also has a "weird eye".
