Hi all , headed out to an old hard rock mine site mding for gold. Cold and few showers . Had little luck with gold or quartz species. Far to much junk . The locals use throw there house hold and yard rubbish down these disused shafts. The only find of the day was this late 19th century beer bottle which happened to sticking out of what was left of the mines damwall. The shaft is really deep and still not covered. Some of the shafts around here are over 2000 feet deep. Heres a pic of the mine in 1904 and today . Take some good advice stay away from open shafts . Happy not go home empty handed. Foster's is not my favour beer but nice keeper of a bottle.
