Block "I" w Stars and Others
We had a productive week. A friend of mine located a possible dump/pit/house on his property. It was a large mound of head sized rocks and he started finding a lot of iron signals, a couple eagle buttons and some utensils. So, we started to remove stones and dig deeper and it has been producing ever since. Pictured below, is what I have found so far. The most notable for me was the Block "I" with stars. The stars are a little hard to see in this pic, but if you look closely around the sides you can see tiny bumps. The half dollar is 1825, and the large cent is 1817. I also believe that the handle might be a bone handle, but I'm not sure.
Other items found in the hole were a CSA Coat button, Virginia Coat button, two eagle breast plates, lots of flat buttons, a couple small bottles, broken pottery and glass and mini balls and round balls.
