These are both dark and light blue. I've been told blue quartz, but they just aren't the same. Closer to agate seems to me.

Have apatite around here, but this is very hard. Isn't apatite pretty low on mohs?

Yes, it's a defining mineral at 5 on the Mohs scale. Try scratching a part of the blue with steel.

If it does that I'd say you've been told correctly that its blue quartz. Does not appear to be an agate because of the granular patterning. Nice color ;)

It is pretty. They all are LOL. Have A LOT of blues. However, figuring out what I have is the fun part.

BTW found some peach colored quartz yesterday. Small amount, need to find more.
