Yes it is an interesting variegated hunk of Granite but other than a yard decoration not much else, but don't give up you never knows what may be found out in the field until one stumbles onto it....:headbang:

I'm afraid one would have to see it in person to tell more. See if you can't bring it to a local university or even a rock club and let someone knowledgeable look at it.
