another bonus from wearing a mask - old bottles
and another reason I think some sand moved in spot I hunted yesterday
7 up bottle is from the 50s
other bottle is from early 1900s
both dug up while scooping for older targets - luckily I did not break them
got a dozen old bottles over the yrs water hunting
I had to tuck them in my wet suit - which was awkward - but I managed

That's a long time for the 7up to hold it's paint/decal. Salt or fresh water? I've found them in bottle dumps that don't look that good.

the other older is roughed up a bit - Ive found a few of the early painted ones with almost nothing left on them
I was praying when I scooped it up it would have something left - my guess it did not roll around much

Cool bottles Casper!
I remember digging up some real nice ones to pour footings for a deck in Marblehead MA when I lived up in that icebox. A buddy stumbled across a few Nanny still bottles during a move clean out and sold the set 2-4 of them for $1800 to a collector via eBay. You never know what you're going to find. Good luck!

Cool Bottles... I come across several when hunting here also. Most you can feel with the scoop or they come up with the other treasures, similar to marbles...
