Bottle Dump Finds

I wanted to go metal detecting the kid wanted to visit an old bottle dump we already hit. He wanted to look for marbles or coins we might have missed.
It was a good day for me, not so good for the kid and his girlfriend that also went. Lol
After a couple hours raking dirt around I ended the day with 13 marbles to one marble each for the kid and his girlfriend. 4 of the marbles I found were Benningtons and one was an old clay marble.
We also found some old compacts,lipsticks, a couple buckles and some bottle stops.
Getting towards the end of our hunt I also foumd a old sterling ring, yay....

Forgot to mention, on the way in and out from the bottle dump we had to pass where there was an old railroad station. While going in I found 3 old Edison battery bottles then on the way out 5 more Edison's. None for the kid or his girlfriend. Lol

Never got the Edison's out of the jeep. We've got a pile of them so didn't think much of it. Lol

I'll post a pic later.

Nice finds, I have a bunch of sterling jewelry, broaches mostly and a silver thimble from bottle dumps, I've even found 3 gold teeth in a dump

Bennington's are old clay marbles.

Those bottles are the newer ones that came from Bloomfield NJ. These next ones a 3oz and a 4oz bottle came from the old plant that burned down in Orange NJ.

Find them often in the NY/NJ area...sometimes embossed, sometimes not
