Found a bottle dump today, well actually 3 different ones on the same property. Anyways, I was on the hunt for a new metal detecting location and managed to pull out a few whole bottles. Little to my surprise I was cleaning out the small one and inside felt different so I looked and it was not mud, but a salve inside still!! Then back at the car I cleaned mud off the brown tall bottle, with the lid still on, and inside was match sticks! This home was from mid 1850's!

Thanks! Never done a lot of bottle digging, but there are so many more just on top of the soil or barely showing. It's all in a wash out
