I've been using one for a few months now and I like it. It's not particularly loud but it's quite audible. Are you using yours while wearing headphones or on the beach or is this as if you were to turn it on indoors?

Both out side and inside it is low to me not a nice loud sound like the Garrett pro pointer or whites pin pointer.

I used one for a couple years & had the same problem Kando. I took the advice of a member here on TN & CAREFULLY drilled some holes in mine which helped a lot. Be very careful you dont hit any wires or circuit board. Hope this helps you.
