ooohhh....shiney! Try using baking soda and water. Just enough water to make the soda into a paste and rub it on.
It will not scratch as bad as jewelers rouge. I do quite a bit of buffing, and most jewelers rouge is designed to be
a light cutting medium, which is to say it's cutting or taking away metal, thus removing scratches and making a shine.
