From the quality of the bracelet and appearance, I would guess the dragon heads are gold.

Hey VERDE, don't think I'll find a test kit in my little area (not even a jeweler here!)...have to take a drive to next closest area. ;)

Wouldn't mess with an acid kit if the gold is as soft as you say it is, easy to put an ugly scratch on the heads and ruin the value. Would take it to a jeweler with a spectrometer next time you have a chance and have the entire piece analyzed. Scrap value would be minimal, jewelry value possibly quite high if kept in good shape .

I have had MANY of these over the years... never found a gold one yet.
The ones I have found are made of copper, brass, nickel --I presumed... It is not silver.
Although yours has the "heads"... looks like plate... but check it and see.
For I know I have had many fakes and you hit the real.

Thanks for the info ARRC, will know (from the experts) I'm not going to do anything else to it.

Let us know. I am betting the dragon heads are gold. Asian gold often has those little divits carved into it which yours has. I'v never seen that with gold plated.

Yes SDB, magnified..I can see each dragon head looks to be done/carved by hand?.. (separately/not the same identical divits).
