Brass advertising clip

I found this in an old box of my grandfathers things and can't find any info on it. Is it collectable? Does it hold any value? It seems to be very well made and very old.

I have a brass pin that was made by the same company (Greenduck of Chicago) from 1911, so they have been around awhile.

Please post a side view of it. I am a little confused because the pictures you posted appear to be the front and back but the back one has a hole near the top that is missing in the front view.

Now it makes sense. And, that link describes it as a paper clip. So, one could hold papers together and hang them on the wall or something along those lines.
