OK, I picked up this Brawn mini highbanker cheap in the bargain cave at Cabelas and this company seems to have their own "louvered deck" sluice box design to trap gold instead using traditional riffles, expanded metal, matting etc. I can't find any reviews on its gold trapping performance yet I like the overall construction of this mini highbanker. Unless someone has something good to say about this louvered deck sluice box design I'm going to mow over it with Keene Miracle or Gold Hog matting.

for what they cost $149.99 you can get a piece of metal punched with these louvers for a LOT less and put them into your current sluice , or have one bent up while your at the metal shop that punchs the louvers , IF that is the way you would want to go!! and have $$ left over for a cold beer!

Not really buying the louvre design. It looks like the gold will have to find it's way in. I say ditch it.
