I've gone through a few boxes of pennies now and I was surprised to find a 1961 and a 1959 that were so bright I couldn't tell them apart from the new ones. I suppose this happens now & then, but I really didn't expect it. I also found a 1944 wheat that had most of its original shine. And a 1984 that had Lincoln's nose mashed very flat. His mouth was indistinct and his chin was somewhat shortened as well.???

My decision to silver plate pennies

I have finally come to the decision to silver-plate all of my pennies. It sounds strange but I firmly believe this will increase the pennies' value. I was going to gold-plate them but that might be a bit of overkill. Cheers, Jim
