I am wondering what everyone who saw the British TV series about metal detecting "The Detecteorists" what they thought about the show?

I am guessing you have to appreciate the understated British humor. It seems like an accurate view of a metal detecting club and their members in the UK. It does poke gentle fun at some of the members, but never in a mean way. I love the way Lance was very reluctant to let another member use his CTX 3030. Hundreds of other good scenes in this show that never lost its focus on metal detecting.

I’ve only got to watch a couple episodes. First time I watched it I thought it was a reality show hahaha! Then 30 seconds in the guy digs a pull tab and says he’s going to sell it on eBay!! Good stuff, I’m enjoying it so far.

For some reason, season 3 is not on Netflix here. Still checking in occasionally.

What a wonderful show. Very low key and funny. My wife and I watched all of the episodes over a two week period on Acorn.

Thanks. I drifted away from detecting for a few years but recently "rediscovered" my machines in the closet and am looking forward to heading out in the next few days.
