Broke my dry spell today finding a piece of pottery

It's hot here in Western NC at 90 degrees so decided to take a chance and put on my water shoes, not the boots and cool off in the creek, the water is always super cold and was hoping no snakes would be about. They say we have no cottonmouths out here and hoping "they" are right :dontknow: Anyway after about an hour of moving small rocks and sand around I found a small rim shard which is way better than nothing and it's been real slim pickins around here lately. Thunder was rumbling and it was getting a bit dark so with any luck we'll have a gully washer. Hope everyone is having better luck than me!

Slim pickins around there? That's because you done found most everything old, beautiful, rare or incredible in North Carolina. I saw the pics. And that find is cool too...

Find that spring head and you will find the stones. The creek doesnt run cold on its own, nice find
