Well, today was the best day we have had so far. We started at about noon, after church and spent five hours at the 1780's house, (I will include a picture). We spent most of the afternoon in the field next to the house. We are now going to call that field the button field since we found 11 in there today, dating from the late 1700's up to about 1850. I also found an 1802 drapped bust large cent, a late 1700's brass shoe buckle, a brass and glass ring, and a great brass and pewter folding knife. Other finds we made included several buckles, a ring, two minnie balls and a musket ball, a thimble and the spout of a powder flask. Tomorrow we are going back to the field again since we only covered about a third of it. More tomorrow...Lance

Comfy,

outstanding finds as usual for you. Just love the extra photos.

Could not help but notice the two buttons on the top seem the same. Do you think the area where you dug

them could be an old dump area? Just a thought.

Thanks for sharing the photos.

you and yours have a good un..
