What a great day of digging. Best find of the day was a bucketlister . A 1796 Liberty Cap Large Cent . Lots of cool tokens , lead soldier , buffalo nickle , silver or white gold wedding band and lots of other goodies 20200628_180421.jpg 20200628_180448.jpg 20200628_180534.jpg 20200628_180608.jpg 20200628_180635.jpg 20200628_180659.jpg 20200628_180754.jpg 20200628_183316.jpg 20200628_183401.jpg 20200628_183429.jpg 20200628_183521.jpg

That's a lot of variety! Do not use liquids of any kind on the coin. Use a toothpick or the Andre's pencils, they work wonders and won't damage it. Aquachigger has a nice video regarding mechanically cleaning coins.

Wow you had a great hunt there. Congratulations! That pocket knife hadn't been lost too long, with some special attention it could be brought back into service the way it looks.
