Buckhannon WV Civil War sites

I will be in Buckhannon this summer and was wondering if there were any Civil War sites, like McClellan's camp or others, where it is, first of all, legal to detect, and secondly, worth detecting? It doesn't have to be "in" Buckhannon but at least close by.
