Buckle Find

Howdy Folks! I found this buckle at a site where, at various times, British, Confederate, and Union soldiers camped, possibly Rough Riders, and also Spanish fish rancho's were there at one time. I have no idea if this is a civilian buckle or not. It has "Hook Fast Co." on the back as well as "41 John st, ny city"
