I found this buckle last week and I hope someone can give me a time period.
It is unlike all the other buckles I have found. It is flatter (but not flat) and wider than most of the late 19th, early 20th century buckles I have found. I found this buckle at a wooded spot near my house. The site had a home dating back to the 1700's which burned down in the 1970's. I found it at a trash dump on the site along with broken bottles that date back more than 100 years. I hit it too late. It has become overgrown. I will have to wait until the fall to explore more.
