I found this buckle near an old farm house. I'm not sure if it's part of a harness for a horse etc. or human. It is stamped Providence R.I. and the mfg. reads ?AU. F. Co.

Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

I found that same buckle....

In an old homesite down in the lower part of South Carolina...was missing the tongue and the roller on the left. Same markings though. Found in the middle of homesite material...so, I guess it's "human"...late 1800s to early 1900s site.
