Me and the ole Sniffster(sniffy) headed out at 5:30 am to get an early start before the Blizzard got to us. not a bad hunt. I got 2 buckles.one is a all iron batwing buckle(the only other 2 batwings i dug, were cast brass)
and a ornate colonial shoe buckle frame.no buttons and no coins for me.if we get the 12 inches they are expecting i may as well say it's a wrap for 2010.
not to say we won't be out trudging through 6 inches of snow in a few weeks! :laughing7:

this iron one is quite a bit larger than the 2 cast brass ones i had dug previously.
still wish we could nail down the era of this style of buckle :icon_scratch:
seems to be so much controversy on this style. colonial or post colonial :dontknow:
wasn't that far from the shoe buckle and at same depth.so...who knows :icon_scratch:
