Had a little bit of time and it was raining pretty much all day here so I made a couple stops and picked up $40 in halves, $200 in dimes and $40 in nickels. The dimes gave me a 1964 (silver #109 for 2009), the halves were a skunk and the nickels were pretty good. First roll I opened when I got home had a dirty edge to it...so I checked it thinking it may be a silver nickel but it was a Buffalo. 2nd this year...pretty far behind my goal of 10 for 2009. Later that same roll I got a 1955(P). Totals for the nickels were:

1 1913 Type 1 Buffalo (appears to have been dug at some point)
40S, 45P, 47D, 48, 49, 55, 58D, 59Dx3

11 pre-60s out of 800 coins is about 1 in 73 coins. Slightly better than my average of 1 in 74.6. The odds have been getting gradually better for the last 2 years.

The Buffalo nickel is undated but it has to be a 1913 because it is a type I with no mint mark.

Heck, I'll even throw in some pics:

Hey Doc, if you want Buffs, check out old pianos! (A shameless reference to my post of last week). Congrats on putting a rainy day to good use!
