From about $125 in casino nickels I got my 2nd one in seven days, this time a [red]1935[/red], the first time that date has appeared since 3/6/04. No other keepers along with it but this was enough to make my day. Got a fightin' chance now to break my record of ten.

Awesome! I hope you reach 10! I still have yet to find a buffalo nickel.

Neck and neck with you Immy. I am at 9 buffs for the year also. Trying for 40 war nickels also, currently at 29.

More neck and neck than we realize. I'm at 30 war nicks. I'll have to get an 11th hour surge to beat last year's 39. I hope one of us does it!

Nice find Immy. It's nice when you pull them and they have a clear date.

p.s. I just pulled my 10th this year, which was a 1913 type II. It was so worn that the nic-a-date hardly brought the date back. Got any pictures of your 9 Buffs all together?

Sorry Doc, I'm not pic-enabled. Nice going on that '13! My last two didn't need to be Nic-a-Dated, but most were this year. Roughly 50% seem to need it.

Yeah, same here, about half of them have the date worn off. Seems though that the earlier dates are the ones that typically show up when you use the 'serum.' Mostly all my earlier dates are restored, and just about all my later dates are found in tact. Seems around 1925 the dates tend to last longer, like with the Standing Liberty quarters. Do you see that too?

Yep, that's about right. My newest date that had to be restored was 1928.

About once a year I stop by a pawn shop or two and buy dateless, mintmarked buffies hoping to get another 1914-D or a 1913 D or S Type 2.

Got #10 of the year this weekend. A 1916 that needed to be revealed.

At 32 war nickels with one find last night.

Hope you get yours this month Immy.

Nice going on that 1916, AG!

Still stuck at nine here, but I did find war nick #31 (43-P) over the weekend. Hope I get buff #10 this month too but they're an elusive bunch. I've gone two and three-month stretches this year without finding one.

More good news though from the weekend searching - found a 1941 Large S, which brings my overall total to 34. Getting closer to that complete roll!
