I found both these buggy tags this year in VA at two different sites. Haven't seen buggy tags posted much and would love some feedback. The one is "Rattermann & Luth manufacturing" from Ohio. The other is "Jo's. L. Helms" from VA. Thanks for looking.

Someone has got to be collecting buggy tags!
Can't say I've seen one before. They are impressive & full of history.

Sure like to see a collection or at least a few more.
Just trying to grasp how many there could be from the past.
Just how big of a buggy maker would use them.
And what trade may have made them?
Are there any reference material on these?

Congrats on the find.

Thanks intimer for your reply. All I can tell you is when I resarched the names they both came back as manufacturers of carriages and buggy's. I assume these tags were placed on the buggy to identify the manufacturer. Would love to learn more.
