Once again the very first signal ends up being the best. First signal was the bull suspender buckle. I've found several suspender buckles at this 1800's site, but this is the coolest! Also found hat I think is a shoe buckle. It would be my first shoe buckle if y'all think this is a shoe buckle. Maybe it was a hair pin? The thimble is tiny barely fits on my 8 yr olds finger. Does anyone recognize this make? Here are the rest of the finds from the 1800's site.
Made it out on a second hunt, focused on scouting out new sites. Lots of shotgun ends, as typical. Found an old 1800's rail station in the woods from some research I had done, but the site must of had a building up to 40 or 50 years ago as it was full of old beer cans, impossible to get a good target. Then hit two other potential spots, but just a rock and what I thought was going to be my first piece of silver flat wear, surface find, but ended up just an old stainless spoon.
Happy with the stuff from the first hunt at my old site. If anyone has insight on the buckles or thimble it is appreciated.
Good luck out there!
