Bullet found by local ball park

I just got my new metal detector my wife and I decided to take it out yesterday to give it a try at a local ballpark on the way back to the truck I got a strange signal I decided to dig it and I found this bullet can anyone help me identify it?

Dang good find it looks like a fired civil war bullet. You will have to mic it to give us a better idea of what it is.

Standard '3 ringer' minie ball.. nice find

That was my first old bullet most of the ones I find are .38 9mm .40 caliber

Deff look like a minie ball. Should meaure about .577 on the mic.
