Thanks in advance - found this on Saturday, in area that has been used for hundreds of years, through the present (saw several pheasant-hunting parties while we were there). Found lots of spent shotgun shells and small bullet casings, just put this in my pouch with the rest. Thought it might be a live round, but when cleaned it, realized it looked like one piece and like it had been fired. Obviously, I know nothing about this stuff, please help with approx age?
Thanks!
Lara

As a suggestion, it may help to indicate a scale relationship to zero in on the caliber.

This can be anywhere from a rifle bullet to a shotgun slug.

Hi,
Looks to me to be a Martini-Henry bullet roughly circa 1880-1910. Specs: .450”soft lead bullet (12 parts lead 1 part tin) weighing 480 grains.

Really nice relic...

Cheers Grim
