I had an interesting hunt today. The area lakes are lowering for the winter so I went to a spot that was good to me last winter. It wasn't long until an old man walking his dog came up and told me that I wouldn't find anything there. I always laugh it off when someone tells me that.... Well, then he told me why. He said "they haven't been in the water all summer because of the TVA ash spill"... Well, I have to say that was the first time I half way believed someone when they said I wouldn't find anything. I knew it was going to be slow and I would have to count on finding what I missed last winter. I wandered off to the edges of where I hunted last time and got a strange signal and dug up the mold. The sediment is only a couple of inches deep on the lake bottom so I can't really tell how long they have been there. If you have an idea what kind of mold it is please let me know because that's the first one I've ever found and I'm excited about the find. I also found a heavy ring with an eagles face on it and there's no markings at all on it. If you scratch it is shiny like silver but it's too heavy for silver. I included a picture of the old fort a few miles away from where I hunted. Thanks for looking.

I modified this post because of the way I worded it. I didn't realize that I made it sound like I was hunting around the fort. (that would be a felony) Thanks you all...
