Took a couple of short hunts for this handful pulled out of old 1800’s farms.

I found another Pittsburgh Railways Token earlier this year, but this one is a different variety from the 1930’s.

This green copper facing left had me stumped for a bit. Normally when they are really smooth and green they are a KG, but not this time.

The back is totally smooth. Finally figured it out as an 1860’ish Victorian Penny called a Bun Head.
ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1542329284.536746.jpg
It is 30mm vs a KG around 24mm. It definitely seems like it was in circulation?

This totally intact 1915’ish razor was pretty cool.

Potentially my first old marble, any ID help appreciated.

And a tag that Jeff of PA likes to think is a bit evil.

Any ideas on this one?

Here is the handful.

And of course fulfilling my job as spoon eradication expert.

Good luck out there!

Now that is a handful of very cool finds! I have to say that the razor is my favorite, though! Well done!

Great set of finds. Lead toy soldier, marble, old coins. Nice stuff.

The marble looks like a Bennington marble, a glazed clay marble, however the Bennington's I am familiar with are blue or brown, like these:

Great batch of relic finds. I always like the old marbles. I have found a few white and yellow clay marbles, but the majority of them are orange.

Stick your pinkie finger in the round circle in the middle of the pentagram and see if it tries to suck out your soul? If it does, Jeff is right, its evil! :)

Nice finds Pa-dirt, and a good post & photos!

Thanks for showing us the other stuff that came with your tag/token. I've already commented about that but I'd like to say congrats on the old razor, spoons and marble.
It doesn't look like clay to me but an almost pure white aggie.

I like Tom's post about the predominate colors brown and blue. Back when almost every town had a family of potters they must have all made marbles and the sizes and colors varied somewhat. Most of the clay marbles made locally were 1 1/4" in diameter but perhaps they also made them in a smaller size. I've also never seen a green one and I know they had a green glaze.

Thanks for posting and good luck!

Thx Tom. I searched your ID Bennington and found a pic with a bunch of matching white marbles. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1542375379.150771.jpg Looks like these were made in the mid 1800’s til ?, thx!

Thx for the additional marble info. This one seems handmade as it is not true round and appears to have an opaque porcelain appearance, not glass.

You may be onto something. The star side of the tag was partially covered with a black tar type substance. Took a bunch of time with toothpicks and Andres pencils to get most of this off. (Maybe some soul residue has leaked out over time...)

Nice handful of finds. I really like the old token, the razor is interesting, and I like finding old marbles although I have yet to find one as old as yours. Congrats
