I've always "tried" to take these kinds of pictures, so when winter gets too rough, or summer too hot, or life just gets too busy..........you can step back in time for just a minute and see it just as it was. I owe it to the camera, I've always been taking pictures, but never like this. :)

Great pics CG, but now you jinxed yourself, the "Montana Effect" you are now guaranteed to have a hard freeze or snowstorm shortly. :o

On the serious side, I saw on the news last night that here in NJ and I hope elsewhere that the Honey Bees are making a comeback, after years of severe decline in populations, we need those bees, without a doubt......

I think my Apple Tree and Pear Trees had almost no Honey Bees, but plenty of Bumble Bees/Carpenter Bees were doing the pollination.

No not the "Montana Curse!" :D We had our fill this winter enough is enough! :D

Here is a recipie to attract honey bees, you may want to cut it in half or all my hnoey bees will be down in NJ. :wink:

Bee Sugar Candy
for spring feeding of your bees by Armand Provost
Makes about 14 8 3/4" pie plates

Ingrediants:

15lbs granulated sugar
3 bottles Karo syrup
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
4 cups water

Heat to 240 degrees (soft ball stage)
Cool to 180 degrees
Stir vigorously
Pour into containers
It should be hardened and ready for use in 2-3 hours

Bring on the Bees!

Glad to see 'Spring is moving north', & thats good info on the receipe for Bee food, they are very important for our crops.

Thanks for the recipes Wes, now we just have to wait for those flowers to trn to peaches! Got anything for plums?

Granny, it is great to be able to get back outside. Back to the 40's for high here last week. BRRRRRRRRRRR!
