Unfortunately the information on the Butterfield Overland Mail Company and Trail in Wikipedia was taken from a lot of old inaccurate information. I stopped counting the errors at twenty-five
. One is the photo they have for the Butterfield Oatman Flat Stage Station. They represent a photo of Fourr's 1869 station as that of Butterfield's 1858-1861 station. In the photo the Butterfield station was in the ploughed field to the left approximately where the two people are walking. This photo is from my copyrighted book "The Butterfield Trail and Overland Mail Company in Arizona, 1858-1861, published April 2011. I took the photo in 1970. Unfortunately this historic structure is no longer standing as the site is now also a ploughed field. To the right, on the crest of the hill, can be seen a white streak which is a remnant of Leach's 1858 improved road which Butterfield decided not to use and took the route around the bluff.
