Hey gang.

First, let me apologize for having to ask as I know there is information out there, but some of the information is conflicting.

I found this button this weekend and from looking on the web and this forum, it's a common general service button issued sometime after 1902. Is there any way to get a better approximation of it's date or are the back marks too inconsistent?

The back mark reads: SCOVILL Mf''g Co. WATURBURY

I forgot to include the coin for scale, but it's just a hair larger than a US nickel.

Any help on dating it would be appreciated.

The only difference I see between the upper left one in your photo and mine is that mine doesn't have the little stars.

Also, the rim on yours dates it after 1910.Here is a picture showing a Scovill backmark that looks like yours. It's the one on the bottom left. This is from McGuinn and Bazelon's book "American Military Button Makers and Dealers; Their Backmarks and Dates".
