Spent the day detecting a few places with my brother. Found 4 matching Great Seal military buttons and a tiny military button under one huge tree. The crest badge/pin with the eagle is from the 34th infantry battalion 1918 and the button on the far right bottom (in the button picture) I actually found yesterday and I had help identifying it, this is what I was told about it
"US National Army 1917. A combined conscript and volunteer force, the national army, was formed by the United States War Department in 1917 to fight in WW1.Only made one year"
My favorite of the day is a remnant of a change purse with a 1905 barber dime sandwiched between 2 wheats (1918 & 1920) it still had small bits of cloth attached (see before and after collage picture)
Also found a 1947 Rosie dime,a bit of clad, lead weight, stamped tag and a couple other bits.
I'm sorry the post is so long, I shortened it the best I could. HH y'all
