Dug that today, AT Pro read it at 82-84, 8 inches deep. Im thinking Revolutionary War stuff, if it is, It will be my FIRST Revo. War Relic!!!!!

Rev war buttons are pewter, little flat buttons. That's a 2 piece brass button. an eagle button to be exact. Mid-1800s most likely.

If you tell us exactly what the back says, then one of the experts can give you more precise info.

Congrats... it took me two years to find my first eagle button!
