Hello everyone, this is my first post. I’ve found this button and was wondering if any one knows what sort of era it is from. It’s the size of a 50p piece. Many thanks in advance 01ED87AB-D822-4676-9CB4-4E724794DA28.jpeg EEDA8D54-4C6B-4209-B1ED-04B96F8D0704.jpeg 81D910C2-6CD3-4244-A3BF-845F86F1A313.jpeg

Very cool button, sir. You must be from across the big pond. I see the union Jack on your profile. It amazes me the number and age of old finds in England.

Welcome. It is a late 18th century hand engraved tombac button. They were very common about 1750-1800, and then the style changed. Good find.

Nice button. The octagon shaped ones don't pop up every day. I'd be psyched with that one.
