I was out for a couple of hours on the field with the roman pottery. Lots of it today too. I picked some better pieces for the collection. The finds with the detector were a few like the last time. Cal. 50 bullets, lead, buttons, pieces of german WWII dogtags some scrappies, medieval weight... But the best showed up when cleaning the finds. First surprise was a fibula in bad condition, a hairpin aaaand a roman phallus! :hello2: My first one! A cold and windy day, but worth it!

Here are the pics!

Wow, I found one identical to that only last year. Just shows how well the Roman's mass produced things. I have no idea what it mounted to :dontknow: Its in better condition than mine :icon_thumright:

These turn up from time to time but not often. Never an exact match like Yours. :icon_thumleft: The ones i've seen are bigger and have an eyelet. If these are mass produced they are maybe sold to military? :dontknow: A reason for spreading across europe?

Military is most likely, & yours is the first match I have seen, I was just commenting on the Roman abilities
