Got out for a mid week hunt today with Nova Treasure. Spent an hour or so trying to track down land owners and finally tracked one down by phone. Asked him for permission and he said he wanted half the Gold if I found any. :laughing9:. Got out on the site and there was iron everywhere, my first good target was an 1892 IH in great shape. as the hunt went on ,Nova blew me out of the dirt with a great find and you will have to see his post to find out what he found. I carried on and thought there has to be more goodies in the dirt, then the buttons started flowing. I dug Tombacs, flats and two piece buttons in a small area. I dug a hem weight, suspender clip, and part of a cloak clasp and a few other brass items. Was a great day of hunting and look forward to going back.

Happy Hunting

HB

Nice stuff :icon_thumleft: That's amazing that you found the same exact sportsman's button that was posted on here this week :o I think it was Deno who found one :dontknow:

Oh, not Deno :laughing7: was your buddy CM2DB

http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,388921.0.html

Pretty strange how we both dug an Ibex button on two different site's and in 2 different states.

Nice work HB, now I have to track down Nova's post and see what he dug.

I like that gilded button, and the ibex hunting button is Top Notch. I don't have any hunting buttons in my collection (and only seen a pheasant button and hound button dug).

P.S.--those cloak clasps sure as heck are turning up a lot in your area! Went ages without seeing any of those, then Bang several in a row.

Cheers,

Buck

RodeoRecon dug it. Not only at a different site, but in a different state, but only about 10-15 miles apart as the crow flies. Still pretty wierd though.
