Hi everyone
Any advice on value and identification confirmation?
Found this in a box a jewelry i had forever. I just popped it of of a cheap metal pendant, probably old..,
I placed it on the ring. I then researched it..
Is it chrysoberyl? Is it good quality?
Thanks for loolin and any help.

Thanks, this was my first suspicion tigereseye. I spent awhile researching it. Before someone told me its Cats eye. Could it be tigeres eye with the cats eye effect? There is no beam of light in the dark also and when you flip the stone the milk and honey colors change sides. The milk honey effect appears in side ways light. When im in bright light. There is a single beam. And multiple beams when under multiple interior lights.

It's tigereye, a variety of quartz.

Pretty shure its not this stone has a strong mobile chatoyancy effect. I was thinking chrysoberyl or apatite or something else with the effect. Tigers eye is very different

Oh... and as far as "value"... IMO a solid 15-20 at Flea environment.

10 at your yard sale is what... again in my opinion... is what you should EXPECT to get.

Start a little higher,,, and ask what the offer from them is.. then settle at above prices.

Sell online... start at 9.99 auction.

I believe it's a cat's eye chrysoberyl. Those milk and honey effects would not be found in tiger eye quartz. Quartz has a hardness of 7, Chrysoberyl 8.5. It can only be scratched with a ruby, sapphire or diamond. I read that they will have a shine in the dark, and if you rub the stone with a cloth, the shine will increase. Not sure about quality, but has a nice sharp eye and color division. Check ebay, they have tons listed with prices all over the board. It's a cool stone!

I have pretty much convinced myself its not tigers eye.... Maybe apatite? Whatever the stone is, it has exceptional chatoyancy and size.

Here is the original pendant. i only removed the stone like 2 days ago. I was looking for a good eye stone. ..and turns out i already had one mixed in with some junk jewelry i could have almost tossed it many times.. This thing literaly called me out. The story is too ridiculous . ill just say maybe theres something to the superstitious power of saints..
